Silicon Valley: Instagram is preparing to introduce a new feature for auctioning digital assets.

Developer Alice Sandro claims on micro-blogging site Twitter that the video-sharing application Instagram is preparing to introduce a non-flammable token (NFT) on its platform, which will allow users to auction off their digital assets.

Instagram has not yet commented on the matter, but the application's founder, Adam Museri, recently said in a video statement that he was paving the way for creators on Instagram.

"Instagram is not just a video and photo sharing app, we're bringing new features to Instagram that will allow users to have new experiences," said Adam Museri. "Currently, our focus is on creators, videos, shopping and messaging."

NFT is a digital asset that includes rare videos, photos and music. This digital asset is not usually available to everyone, this asset can be put up for auction.
