| Doctors & Nurses died after having vaccinated |
At least 20 doctors and 10 nurses have died between February and June this year despite being vaccinated, according to the Indonesian public health workers' union.
Experts now demand that doctors be given a third dose of the Chinese vaccine Sinovac. Sinovac is one of the few Chinese vaccines that is being administered to many people in Pakistan by the government.
Sinovac seems to be less effective against new strains of the corona virus. Authorities in Pakistan have confirmed the presence of new strains in the country, such as the Delta-type corona virus.
Authorities in Indonesia are also trying to fight new strains of the corona virus.
There is a long line of people outside a vaccination center on the outskirts of Jakarta. A guard at the door tells them to be patient as there is no room inside yet.

'No effect'
There are currently 20,000 new cases a day in Indonesia. However, experts believe that the actual number will be much higher because very little testing is being done outside the capital Jakarta.
But people who have been vaccinated are also worried about how safe the Chinese vaccine will be.
Between February and June this year, 949 healthcare workers died, of which 20 doctors and 10 nurses were given both Sinovac doses.

Doctors are reluctant to talk about it, but they are admitting that they feel insecure.
A pulmonologist, speaking on condition of anonymity, said he had received both doses of the vaccine but had no effect. He says that a month after he was vaccinated, he had his antibody tested to see if the vaccine had made him immune to the virus.
"It simply came to our notice then. The vaccine did not give me any antibodies. I took the test again after another month and that is the result.
He also admits that some of his colleagues have benefited from it, but the vaccine has been useless to him.
Sinovac is approved by the World Health Organization for emergency use, and at least 51% of those who use the vaccine do not have symptoms of the corona virus. In addition, it was 100% successful in preventing the most severe cases of the corona virus.
Biotech Sinovac, the company that makes the vaccine, insists that two doses are enough to prevent the most severe cases of the disease.
In addition, research is being done on how effective the third dose is and preliminary results are very welcome.
"After two meals, our bodies have developed immunity to the disease," said Yen Wedding, the company's CEO. Research is underway into the circumstances under which a third dose is required.
